Join us in person on Friday\, March 3 at 11:30 at Live! by Loews Arlington for this fantastic event presented by Chase. This event has A LOT jam-packed into the day\, and we’ve laid out all the details below. \nEvent Schedule:\n9:30-10:30   Professional Development (separate fee of $20)\n10:30-11:30  Event Registration\, Silent Auction\, Bling Box Sales and Networking\n11:30-1:30   Luncheon with Keynote Address and Awards Presentations (Scholarships\, Small Business Grant\, Hero & Rising Star Awards) \nLift as You Climb: Deep down\, we all aspire to be successful by our own definition. However\, success isn’t always followed by joy and happiness. Sitting atop the mountain can be a lonely place if you bring no one with you. Working together and building partnerships and relationships\, we all reach our mountain tops faster and with fuller hearts. It’s when we bring others up with us that we’re truly in full bloom in our careers and as individuals. \nKeynote Speaker: As the Chief Financial Officer of the Texas Rangers\, Kellie Fischer oversees all financial matters and purchasing for the Rangers. She didn’t attain that position overnight. Over the past few years\, Fischer has been a key player in a number of the Rangers’ growth initiatives. In addition to aiding the development of an Urban Youth Academy in West Dallas\, Fischer was instrumental in the development and construction of the Rangers new Dominican Republic baseball academy\, which opened in November 2019. She served a principal role in facilitating the joint venture between the Rangers\, The Cordish Companies\, and City of Arlington on the $250 million public-private partnership which led to the successful opening of Texas Live! in August 2018 and the $150 million joint venture between the Rangers\, Loews Hotels & Co\, and The Cordish Companies on Live! by Loews – Arlington\, TX\, which opened in August 2019. Kellie also has been among the organization’s leaders who brought life to the development and construction of the team’s new Globe Life Field that opened in 2020. We’re also proud to say Kellie is the former Chair of the Board for the Greater Arlington Chamber (2021). \nSilent Auction: At the very first IWL\, we awarded one $1\,000 scholarship with the donation coming from Dr. Judith J Carrier\, former President of TTC-SE. That has grown significantly over the years thanks to our Silent Auction & Bling Boxes (more details on those below). 100% of the Silent Auction net proceeds go towards the Dr. Judith J Carrier Scholarship Program. We need all experiences and items donated by Friday\, February 18. \nBling Boxes: When you purchase a $50 Bling Box\, you are helping send young women to the colleges in our community – UTA and TCC-SE. Just as above\, 100% of the net proceeds go toward the Dr. Judith J Carrier Scholarship Program. \nHero & Rising Star Awards: The Hero & Rising Star Awards are the most prestigious awards granted under the Women’s Alliance\, recognizing women who are the very definition of a “servant leader”. These recipients continually prioritize their commitment to their community by paving the way for others to create change while leaving a legacy. Carrier Scholarship Program is dedicated to cultivating and developing the next generation of women leaders by awarding over $19\,000 in scholarships this year. Scholarship applications are now closed. \nOptional Professional Development: Each year\, we provide an optional professional development for our IWL attendees to get the most out of their experience. We are thrilled with our Lift as You Climb Panel this year who will be discussing the importance bringing others up with you. Our panel will be announced soon! Drinks will be available for purchase and happy hour rates may be available. \n  \n  \nTheir Story \nWe have a long-standing tradition of hospitality in the Simms family and have gathered the knowledge and traditions of three generations to create something we hope will be a special place for you and your family. As a kid\, I treasured my time spent enjoying the Rocky Mountains and now\, more than ever\, I cherish the time I get to spend there with my family. I’ve always wanted to find a way to share that small mountain town vibe. Inspired by unplanned adventures\, an enduring love of food and fireside conversations\, Lazy Dog was created to do just that.  \nWe have sourced ingredients from places and farmers we love and respect. Each ingredient we use is carefully picked and prepared. We make every meal by hand each day\, including all of our sauces\, marinades and dressings.  We also have a seasonal menu\, which is our ode to the current season\, and where we celebrate Mother Nature’s beautiful bounty the best way we know how. If you have any questions or feedback about our menu\, please don’t hesitate to share them with us. DESCRIPTION:Join the Chamber Ambassadors for a Ribbon Cutting with Kiddie Academy of South Arlington! \nThe Kiddie Academy of South Arlington mission: “to awaken the possibilities through Life Essentials” sets us apart from others in the childcare industry.  This is accomplished by hiring well-trained staff who must pass stringent background checks and who receive training on proprietary systems and programs prior to working with our children. \nThe beautiful facility is designed to allow for adequate play space for children to explore their environment and comply with local licensing requirements.  The facility also includes high level security system so that only enrolled children’s parents or guardians and the staff of the Academy have access. \nWe provide hot\, nutritious lunches and two snacks each day to all enrolled children.  Further\, the curriculum incorporates a diverse learning base that includes foreign language\, character education and a multitude of interesting activities. \nAt Kiddie Academy of South Arlington children learn through direct experiences in an environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Our proprietary\, Life Essentials® curriculum encourages children to question\, build\, create\, move\, and collaborate. In addition to the traditional areas of language arts\, mathematics\, science and social studies\, our curriculum also provides learning experiences in creative and dramatic arts\, character education and technology\, and physical fitness and health. Our curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the learning standards of the state of Texas. We align our curriculum and program with the benchmarks of prominent early childhood education organizations and accrediting agencies such as NAEYC and AdvancED. \nWe welcome all to attend to this exciting event!
