SUMMARY:Coaching Hour - Procrastination
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Chamber on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 3:00-4:00 for training and guidance aimed at helping you develop\, grow\, and transform in and out of the office. \nChamber member Business & Life Coaches will provide workshops\, assessment tools\, and engaging presentations to improve your critical thinking & decision-making skills\, help you identify obstacles & achieve goals\, manage projects more efficiently & teams more effectively\, and more! \nSPEAKER: Kellie Manderfeld \nTOPIC: Overcoming Procrastination: Building Habits and Mindsets to Align Your Thoughts with Actions \nDESCRIPTION: “I work better under pressure (but I don’t like experiencing the pressure).” “I always mean to start in advance (but wind up waiting until the last minute anyway).” “I am just a procrastinator and always have been (but I don’t feel good describing myself that way).” These are common sentiments expressed by those who frequently procrastinate. Procrastination is often the result of a conflict between the head and the heart. It is the difference between what we intellectually know to be a good idea versus a thought\, feeling\, or belief that gets in the way of acting on that knowledge. In this session\, we will explore the common contributors to procrastination and address them head-on with techniques to modify habits and mindsets that get in the way. With simple changes\, we can use our time more effectively with less stress and greater life satisfaction. \nSPEAKER BIO: Kellie Manderfeld is a success coach\, with an expertise in time management and approaching goals from a place of strength. In her work with clients\, she assists individuals and small groups in refining their goals and in overcoming obstacles\, so they can reach their full potential. Kellie has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. Prior to becoming certified as a life coach\, she worked with high risk adolescents\, providing community wrap around services. She also worked extensively with patients in a post traumatic brain injury rehabilitation program\, supervising treatment plans that addressed the recovery of cognitive skills and reintegration into the workplace.
