SUMMARY:Business Resource Sessions - Team Communications Charter
DESCRIPTION:Business Resource Sessions – resources & tools to grow your business! \nJoin us at the Chamber on the first Wednesday of the month from 3:00 to 4:00 to hear from and engage with industry leaders about how to grow\, protect\, and efficiently run your business. \nTOPIC: Stop the Confusion: The 7 Steps to Developing a Team Communications Charter \nDESCRIPTION: Living in the “Information Age”\, most teams are overwhelmed with choices as they struggle to share relevant business information with each other across various channels at all hours. They’re bombarded with nonsense and frustrated that they can’t find the material that actually matters. This costs leaders time and money\, and results in increased workplace frustration and anxiety. People start to check-out leading to decreased productivity and increased retention problems. The solution is to develop an effective Team Communications Charter\, in which a Team works together through the 7 Steps framework and agrees on how they will effectively communicate with one another.\n \nSPEAKER: Tony Brock of the Anthony Brock Group \nBIO: A former Intelligence Officer and Navy Commander (Ret.) turned Executive Leadership Coach\, Tony Brock leverages his talent in storytelling and experience leading high-performance teams — to include support to our U.S. Navy SEALs — to support those who step up to the challenges and responsibilities of executive leadership. Tony is a seasoned business practitioner with an MBA\, and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) & Advisor (Georgetown University). Additionally\, he serves as the Executive Director for the National Medal of Honor Griffin Institute\, which focuses on character and leadership development nationally; and as military veteran employment transition coach (pro bono) with The Honor Foundation. \nInterested in being one of our fantastic speakers?  Submit your application here

SUMMARY:Coaching Hour - Projecting Confidence
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Chamber on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 3:30-4:30 for training and guidance aimed at helping you develop\, grow\, and transform in and out of the office. \nChamber member Business & Life Coaches will provide workshops\, assessment tools\, and engaging presentations to improve your critical thinking & decision-making skills\, help you identify obstacles & achieve goals\, manage projects more efficiently & teams more effectively\, and more! \nThis session’s coach is Michael Dailey. \nTOPIC: Projecting Confidence and Positive Body Language in Business Communications \nUnderstanding body language can provide a wealth of information about a person’s feelings or intentions. In business\, the ability to read other’s body language can be the x-factor in closing the deal\, identifying deception\, or simply recognizing that you are not doing a great job at establishing rapport and need to make immediate adjustments. Conversely\, not having the same level of awareness about yourself can significantly limit your ability to be successful and provide the same indicators to be used against you. \nSPEAKER BIO: Drawing on years of experience in counterterrorism developing counterterror operatives\, law enforcement\, and behavioral detection officers\, Michael Dailey now helps build confidence in solo entrepreneurs and small business owners as well as CEOs and senior executives who want to master the art of radical rapport-building and genuine and charismatic engagements through advanced body language techniques. \nInterested in being one of our fantastic speakers?  Submit your application here

SUMMARY:Professional Development: Becoming a Leader: Beyond the Court
DESCRIPTION:This Professional Development is hosted by the Women’s Alliance but all are welcomed to attend. \nJoin us for a conversation with UTA Women’s basketball coach\, Shereka Wright. A leader on and off the court\, she has guided the team to historic heights. In 2022\, she was named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year by guiding the Lady Mavs to a 20-8 record and the Sun Belt Tournament Championship. That earned the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament for the third time in school history and the first since 2007. Coach Wright was named SBC Coach of the Year in addition to Texas Coach of the Year by Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball. \nCoach Wright will share her insight into being a female leader and guiding the next generation of young women to find their potential. She will discuss how she’s been intentional to work with her players and coaching staff to develop strong results for the team\, the program\, and UTA.
