SUMMARY:What's Your Big Idea? Entrepreneurship Contest Awards Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:The Greater Arlington Chamber and Arlington ISD are partnering for the 17th year for the What’s Your Big Idea? Entrepreneurship Contest. This year\, we are recognizing 700+ contest finalists at UTA’s College Park Center to celebrate their achievements. \nA special thank you to our sponsors:\nVenue Sponsors: the College of Business and the College of Engineering \nTHIS ONE IS FOR THE KIDS! SPONSORING THIS EVENT: \nIt’s our 17th year of the What’s Your Big Idea Entrepreneurship Contest\, and we would love your support to make this the best one yet. For two years\, the hundreds of finalists we’ve had for this event have had to celebrate virtually\, and we are thrilled to bring the event back to UTA’s College Park Center. On Saturday\, April 22\, we are recognizing 750+ AISD students for their big\, entrepreneurial ideas\, and we anticipate 3\,500+ attendees joining us for the event. \nWe have created some new sponsorship opportunities this year that allow your logo and company name to be visible more than ever! We’ve outlined below just some of the opportunities. We want to work with you and your business to create a sponsorship that’s the perfect fit. If you’re interested but need help finding the right level or want to create something new\, please let us know. \n$2\,000 – Finalists Recognition Sponsors – New this year\, we are looking for 6 businesses for this opportunity! We have six grade levels of students being recognized at the event\, 3rd-8th grade. Your business name and logo would be recognized at the beginning on the grade-level and the end when we read the names of all the students finalists from the grade level. Your logo will also be featured on the event tshirt and in the printed program. In addition\, you’ll also receive an exhibit booth to connect with these AISD students and their families before and after the main event if you’re interested. \n$4\,000 – Registration Sponsor – This is an exclusive opportunity. Your business logo will be featured above the registration tables\, on the registration signage and on the registration packets. You can stage greeters at the event to welcome the 3\,500+ students and families. In addition\, you have the opportunity to add a coupon or voucher in all 700+ student finalist packets they pickup from registration. As an exclusive sponsorship\, you can provide a 30-second video that will play on the arena screens during the preshow. This sponsorship also includes an exhibit table. \n$4\,000 – Parking Sponsor – This is an exclusive opportunity. Your business logo will be on signage outside of the parking garage as people enter\, and you’ll have the opportunity to hand out flyers to AISD students and families as they enter or leave College Park Center. We encourage you to have greeters outside highlighting your business and connect with all attendees. Your logo will be featured on the event tshirt\, in the printed program and highlighted during the event. As an exclusive sponsor\, you can provide a 30-second video that will play on the arena screens during the preshow. This sponsorship also includes an exhibit table.

SUMMARY:Inspired Women Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Registration is not open but if you would like to sponsor\, please contact Sherry Jackson. \nIf you would like to donate to the silent auction\, please contact Kelly Geer. \nJoin the Women’s Alliance of the Greater Arlington Chamber for the 12th Annual Inspired Women Luncheon\, affectionately known as IWL. Join us in person on Friday\, March 3 at 11:30 at Live! by Loews Arlington for this fantastic event presented by Chase. This event has A LOT jam-packed into the day\, and we’ve laid out all the details below. \nEvent Schedule:\n9:30-10:30   Professional Development (separate fee of $20)\n10:30-11:30  Event Registration\, Silent Auction\, Bling Box Sales and Networking\n11:30-1:30   Luncheon with Keynote Address and Awards Presentations (Scholarships\, Small Business Grant\, Hero & Rising Star Awards) \nLift as You Climb: Deep down\, we all aspire to be successful by our own definition. However\, success isn’t always followed by joy and happiness. Sitting atop the mountain can be a lonely place if you bring no one with you. Working together and building partnerships and relationships\, we all reach our mountain tops faster and with fuller hearts. It’s when we bring others up with us that we’re truly in full bloom in our careers and as individuals. \nKeynote Speaker: As the Chief Financial Officer of the Texas Rangers\, Kellie Fischer oversees all financial matters and purchasing for the Rangers. She didn’t attain that position overnight. Over the past few years\, Fischer has been a key player in a number of the Rangers’ growth initiatives. In addition to aiding the development of an Urban Youth Academy in West Dallas\, Fischer was instrumental in the development and construction of the Rangers new Dominican Republic baseball academy\, which opened in November 2019. She served a principal role in facilitating the joint venture between the Rangers\, The Cordish Companies\, and City of Arlington on the $250 million public-private partnership which led to the successful opening of Texas Live! in August 2018 and the $150 million joint venture between the Rangers\, Loews Hotels & Co\, and The Cordish Companies on Live! by Loews – Arlington\, TX\, which opened in August 2019. Kellie also has been among the organization’s leaders who brought life to the development and construction of the team’s new Globe Life Field that opened in 2020. We’re also proud to say Kellie is the former Chair of the Board for the Greater Arlington Chamber (2021). \nSilent Auction: At the very first IWL\, we awarded one $1\,000 scholarship with the donation coming from Dr. Judith J Carrier\, former President of TTC-SE. That has grown significantly over the years thanks to our Silent Auction & Bling Boxes (more details on those below). 100% of the Silent Auction net proceeds go towards the Dr. Judith J Carrier Scholarship Program. If you would like to donate an experience or item\, please reach out to our Silent Auction Chair\, Kelly Geer at kelly@urbantreemerchants.com. We need all experiences and items donated by Friday\, February 18. \nBling Boxes: When you purchase a $50 Bling Box\, you are helping send young women to the colleges in our community – UTA and TCC-SE. Just as above\, 100% of the net proceeds go toward the Dr. Judith J Carrier Scholarship Program. \nHero & Rising Star Awards: The Hero & Rising Star Awards are the most prestigious awards granted under the Women’s Alliance\, recognizing women who are the very definition of a “servant leader”. These recipients continually prioritize their commitment to their community by paving the way for others to create change while leaving a legacy. To learn more about the Hero and Rising Awards and their past recipients\, click here. \nScholarships:The Dr. Judith J. Carrier Scholarship Program is dedicated to cultivating and developing the next generation of women leaders by awarding over $19\,000 in scholarships this year. Scholarship applications are now closed. \nOptional Professional Development: Each year\, we provide an optional professional development for our IWL attendees to get the most out of their experience. We are thrilled with our Lift as You Climb Panel this year who will be discussing the importance bringing others up with you. Our panel will be announced soon! The session has a maximum capacity of 150 attendees. Make sure to reserve your seat! There is a separate fee of $20 per attendee\, register here. You can only attend this session if you are attending the full luncheon.  \nSponsors: We are incredibly thankful to all of our sponsors. Please take a moment to scroll through all of them below. We appreciate each business that supports the amazing causes of the Greater Arlington Chamber and the Women’s Alliance. If you would like to sponsor IWL\, please contact Sherry Jackson.

SUMMARY:11th Annual Inspired Women Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Event sold out. Please contact Sherry Jackson to be put on a waiting list.  \nJoin the Women’s Alliance of the Greater Arlington Chamber for the 11th Annual Inspired Women Luncheon\, affectionately known as IWL. Join us in person on Friday\, March 4 at 11:30 at Live! by Loews Arlington for this fantastic event presented by Chase. This event has A LOT jam-packed into the day\, and we’ve laid out all the details below. \nEvent Schedule:\n9:30-10:30   Professional Development (separate fee of $20)\n10:30-11:30  Event Registration\, Silent Auction\, Bling Box Sales and Networking\n11:30-1:30   Luncheon with Keynote Address and Awards Presentations (Scholarships\, Small Business Grant\, Hero & Rising Star Awards) \nGrit & Grace: As women\, we hold ourselves to a higher standard to not crack under pressure\, to balance a million different tasks\, to always be on. We strive to be our best selves even during the rockiest of times. Over the past two years\, we’ve learned to not only give others grace but show ourselves grace. To be resilient\, we need to take it one step at a time and accept that we may falter. We can and will get through anything as long as we embrace a life of Grit and Grace. \nKeynote Speaker: Award-winning entrepreneur\, Kenya Mobley\, is the owner of On Track Truck Driving School. She has made history by being the first female to own a truck driving school in Arlington\, Texas. Motivated by her humble beginnings and determination to beat the odds\, as once a teenage mother\, she founded the Code Purple organization to mentor teenage mothers. Mobley is also the author of a motivational journal titled\, One Step Closer – 90 Day Guide to Self-Love. She is a powerful motivational speaker who has been featured in many articles and has won several awards including the Live Life Epic Award and the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce’s 2020 Quest for Success Award. We’re also proud to have her as an active member of the Greater Arlington Chamber. This year’s Bling Box features a stainless steel bracelet engraved with I am Grit & Grace on the inside. The beautiful thing about this bracelet is\, we want you to pass it along. You may know someone going through a hard time. Give this to them as a reminder to be resilient\, to help them get through whatever they may be going through at the moment. Tell them to pass it along once they find someone who needs that message reinforced. Embracing a life of Grit & Grace isn’t a message just for today; it’s a message for every day\, the good and the bad\, to be tough and to be kind. To not take things too personally and to understand we all make mistakes\, including ourselves. \nScholarships: This year\, the Women’s Alliance is thrilled to be awarding $17\,500 in college scholarships this year to current undergraduate\, graduate and nursing students. To learn more\, click here. Applications closed December 10\, 2021. \nOptional Professional Development: Each year\, we provide an optional professional development for our IWL attendees to get the most out of their experience. We are thrilled with our Grit & Grace Panel this year who will be discussing the key moment in their career when they learned the importance of granting themselves grace and using determination to persevere through a situation. Our panel includes five fabulous speakers: Dr. Kimberley Cantu\, MISD Superintendent; Commissioner Devan Allen\, Tarrant County Precinct 2; Carmenza Moreno\, Chick-Fil-A Owner; and Shelli Walker\, PeopleResults as well as our moderator\, Cindy Salter.
