ARLINGTON, Texas – The Women’s Alliance of the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Dr. Lori Glaze, Associate Administrator of NASA’s Human Spaceflight Mission Directorate, as the keynote speaker for the 16th Annual Inspired Women Luncheon, presented by Texas Trust Credit Union, on Thursday, March 25, 2027.
From the classrooms of Arlington’s James Bowie High School to the forefront of human space exploration, Dr. Glaze’s journey is a remarkable example of where passion, perseverance and a willingness to embrace the unknown can lead.
As one of NASA’s top leaders, Dr. Glaze oversees human spaceflight efforts, including the Artemis missions returning astronauts to the Moon and laying the groundwork for future exploration of Mars. Yet her journey began right here in Arlington, where she graduated from Bowie High School before earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from The University of Texas at Arlington. “There is something incredibly special about welcoming a woman who grew up in our community and went on to help lead humanity’s next great chapter in space exploration,” said Sherry Jackson, Chief Development Officer and Vice President of Membership at the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce. “The Inspired Women Luncheon is about celebrating what women can accomplish and inspiring others to see what’s possible for themselves. Dr. Glaze’s journey reminds us that extraordinary dreams can begin right here in Arlington, and we couldn’t be more excited to share her story with the women in our community.”
Throughout her career, Dr. Glaze has embraced opportunities that pushed her beyond her comfort zone, guided by mentors who encouraged her to pursue new possibilities. Among her greatest inspirations was her mother, a pioneering aerospace engineer who helped demonstrate what women could accomplish in a field historically dominated by men.
Now, Dr. Glaze is helping shape the future of space exploration while inspiring the next generation of women to pursue their own extraordinary ambitions.
Her story embodies the heart of the Inspired Women Luncheon: celebrating women who challenge expectations, lift others along the way and remind us that our beginnings do not define the limits of what we can achieve.
Sponsorships for the event are now available HERE or please reach out to Sherry Jackson. Individual ticket sales will be released at a later date.
