Bob Moore Construction, Inc. and Girls Inc. of Tarrant County: 2103 Outstanding Small Businesses

The Arlington Chamber of Commerce announces the recipients of the 2013 Small Businesses of the Year Awards. They are Bob Moore Construction, Inc. and Girls Inc. of Tarrant County; selected for their achievements, innovativeness, response to adversity and contributions to aid community-oriented projects. The awards will be presented at the May 23 “Spirit of America: 2013 Salute to Small Business” hosted by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and The North Texas Small Business Development Center.

“We are proud to recognize the significant accomplishments of both of our award recipients – Bob Moore Construction, Inc. in the for-profit category and Girls Inc. of Tarrant County in the non-profit category,” stated Wes Jurey, President and CEO of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. “For 67 years, Bob Moore Construction, Inc. has had historical impact in industrial, commercial office and retail projects such as Rooms To Go, Garden Ridge, Pioneer 360 Business Park, Harley Davidson, Lincoln Properties and many others. They have also provided significant support on major community initiatives.” “The Girls Inc. selection in the non-profit segment is a tribute to their successful outreach in serving more than 7,000 youth annually focusing on self-esteem, peer pressure, and other issues girls 6-18 years old face daily.”

The “Salute to Small Business” luncheon will be held at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel commencing at 11:00 am. Both public and private small businesses representing 72 counties from North Texas will be honored at the event. The ceremony will be emceed by NBC 5 Today Anchor, Deborah Ferguson, and feature an address by Jeff Williams, President of Graham & Associates and the 2012 Small Business of the Year recipient.

Businesses throughout North Texas are encouraged to participate in the “Salute to Small Business.” During the luncheon, The North Texas Small Business Development Center will further recognize the Small Business Person of the Year, Owner of the Year, Women in Business Champion of the Year, Veteran’s Business of the Year, Minority Small Business of the Year, and others. Winners are from Dallas, Fort Worth, Wichita Falls, Denton, Marshall and Rowlett.
