Center for Public Policy Advisory Council
The Center for Public Policy is the focal point of advocacy on behalf of the business community for interaction with local, state and federal levels of government. The Center’s board advises the Chamber’s Board of Directors on policy initiatives, recommends a state legislative agenda and supports information outreach through newsletters, legislative luncheons, advocacy trips to Austin and Washington and through public policy forums.
The Public Policy Board is appointed by the Chamber’s Board of Directors and represents a cross-section of business and industry, as well as chamber community partners, from Chamber’s membership. The board meets regularly to discuss issues, hear from speakers on relevant policy issues and plan the chamber’s advocacy initiatives.
